Noémie Devime is a fashion designer
and consultant, labeled Artisan d'Art.
A graduate of the ESAA Duperré in Paris,
she has been forged with artistic directors whom she chose for the contemporaneity and the requirement of their vision. From her studio at the gates of Paris, she shapes clothes and experiments with materials, punctuated by various scenarii trends that she creates. She distills her artistic vision by composing a varied personal wardrobe, while working for various brands. Passionate about conceptual fashion and innovative materials, she is known as a studio assistant at Balenciaga with Nicolas Ghesquière, and with Marios Schwab, where she sharpens her know-how for the rigour of cuts and the right choice of materials. Her language as a color-material-form designer is intellectualized when she collaborates as a «trend hunter» for the style office Trend Union, directed by Li Edelkoort. With a certain versatility, Noémie quickly approached collection management within large groups. Freelance stylist for an innovative L'Oréal Luxe brand, she designs their latest line of professional uniforms, then, at Dior Homme, she assists the collection manager and the fabric developer, for Kris Van Assche. In June 2014, her productions attracted the artist Thomas Hirschhorn who invited her to feed her «Eternal Flame» at the Palais de Tokyo. Made from matches, his «Ephemeral Burning Parade» collection was the first official presentation of a capsule collection of flammable clothing. Noémie Devime conceives the garment, the vector of meaning, as an image to read. The materials are deconstructed to better take shape on a body. It diverts known codes and textures to propose unexpected silhouettes.
